I've never really heard or experienced the issue you described on all those years I'm using ScpToolkit.Īnother possible issue you might have is that depending of your Windows 10 version (seems to happen only on 18), you might need to disable Secure Boot on the BIOS in order to install ScpToolkit drivers as the signature already expired and on those particular Windows versions the driver signature checks are hardened when Secure Boot is active (either that or you need to download the Windows 10 SDK and resign the driver yourself with a self-made certificate). It doesn't really matter if the drivers are already installed or not, and you should make sure "SCP DSx Service" is stopped before overwriting the files. I don't know how you did, but the install consists of unzipping the patch on top of an existing installation and overwriting the existing files in the process. So, I'm the author of the guide and a long-time user of ScpToolkit (as, although abandoned, still is the only option for DualShock 3 controllers).
